Study On The Humorous Style Of Qi Baishi's Late Figure Painting Pick To

Qi baishi is an outstanding Chinese art master and a well-known cultural celebrity in China in the20 th century.He has high artistic attainments in flowers and birds,landscapes,figures,seal cutting,poetry and prose,etc.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,qi baishi research has been a prominent subject.There are many individuals and groups who have studied qi baishi's flower-and-bird painting.The symposium on the performance and future trend of landscape painting held by Beijing academy of painting in September 2018 also focused on qi baishi's landscape painting.In fact,not only flower and bird painting and landscape painting,qi baishi's figure painting is also of great research value.The figure painting he created in the late period is humorous in shape and has a clear implication,which is the most personal feature in his paintings.On the way of tradition and innovation,qi baishi's late figure painting combined its own characteristics with the advantages of hundreds of schools,combined its own folk temperament with literati art,and achieved fruitful results.The study on its humorous figure painting style has certain enlightening effect on the creation of our contemporary figure painting.This paper studies the humorous style of the late figure painting of qi baishi,starting with the development of the figure painting of qi baishi,summarizes the three periods of the evolution of the figure painting of qi baishi,and concludes that the figure painting of qi baishi in the late period is humorous.By analyzing the contemporary and social background,personal experience and personality characteristics of qi baishi,this paper explores the forming reasons of his late figure painting humorous style.This paper mainly analyzes the external characteristics of the humorous figure painting in late qi baishi period and the deep meaning behind the humorous style.At last,it comes to the conclusion that the seemingly humorous figure painting often contains profound meaning,and this kind of painting style with a sense of humor has higher aesthetic value and inspiration.
