Research On Cultural Industry Theory Of Frankfurt School

When does culture become an industry? Why does culture become an industry? When does culture begin to be commercialized? When did the Frankfurt School notice cultural issues? These are the main issues to be explored in this paper.The Frankfurt School is the main school in the camp of "Western Marxism".It reflects the Frankfurt School's unique thinking on contemporary cultural and artistic conditions.This paper will further understand the law of cultural development by combing the history of cultural industry development,and try to establish a comprehensive and objective understanding of the critical theory of cultural industry of Frankfurt school.This paper is elaborated in three parts:The first part discusses the origin of the Frankfurt School's critical theory of cultural industry,analyzes the theoretical origins of cultural industry criticism,the context of the times,and the cultures that are considered to have become "cultural industries";The second part is the combing and evaluation of the core viewpoint of Frankfurt School's critical theory of cultural industry,then examines the inherent complexity and multiplicity of the Frankfurt School's critical theory of cultural industry.The third part is a dialectical evaluation of Frankfurt School's critical theory of cultural industry.This part not only discusses the positive significance of the critical theory of cultural industry,but also analyzes the onesidedness and limitations of its existence,and comments on the relevant views of scholars outside the Frankfurt School on "cultural industry".
