Compliment is one of the polite expressions we often use,it is used to express our love and appreciation for the merits of people or things.Compliment is also a very common linguistic phenomenon.As a social communicative language,its primary function is not to convey information,but to shorten the communication distance and promote interpersonal communication.Compliments are called "social lubricant" by linguists.Therefore,proper use of compliments and understanding of the Chinese culture behind compliments play a vital role in the successful interpersonal communication of overseas students in China.In this paper,on the basis of some compliments research both at home and abroad,mainly to compliment the definition and classification of Chinese,and on this basis,involved in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and intermediate spoken Chinese as a foreign language teaching materials in the development of Chinese compliment and student exchanges,sorting,induction and analysis found that Chinese textbooks,students use compliment and Chinese compliment is not the same,the use of the proposed from three aspects of teaching materials,teachers and students in teaching Chinese as a foreign language compliment teaching countermeasures and suggestions,mainly in the main body of this article is divided into five parts:First of all,the introduction mainly introduces the significance of the topic,literature review,research methods and corpus sources..Chapter one defines and classifies Chinese compliments.The classification of compliments in Chinese mainly includes the types,topics and linguistic features of compliments..The second chapter analyzes the compliments in TCSL,mainly including the compliments in TCSL textbooks and the use of compliments by foreign students.Through the investigation,the following problems are found: it is found that the use of compliments in Chinese textbooks and foreign students is different from that in Chinese.The main problems are: the types,topics,vocabulary,sentence patterns and pragmatic functions of compliments in textbooks are relatively simple;The explanation of the compliments is also very general,without creating specific context;The frequency of various types of compliments is also inconsistent with that of compliments in Chinese.In chapter three,Suggestions on praise language teaching in TCSL are put forward from three aspects: Suggestions on the compilation of praise language in Chinese teaching materials,Suggestions on praise language teaching for teachers and Suggestions on praise language learning for foreign students.First of all,we should reflect on the compilation of the praise part in the teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language.Second,as an important resource in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,at the same time as teaching fugleman should also perfect language communication ability,set up the principle of the student center in classroom teaching,probes into the expression,the use of law,use situation should have clear explanation,through linguistic context probes into teaching to make students have a more profound understanding of,more should be properly designed teaching plans.Finally,international students should pay attention to the differences between compliments and the Chinese culture behind some compliments in the process of communication.Conclusion is a summary of the results of the previous survey and a description of the shortcomings of this paper.
