Italian Jews have a long history, which can be traced back to the Roman republic.Under the fascist rule,Italy’s policy towards Jews experienced a process from restrictive policy to persecution policy, during which the Jews also made different responses, reflecting the changes in the psychological state of the Jews in different periods. The antisemitic policies of Italy had a profound influence on the Jews and the Italian country. The text is divided into five parts:The first part is a brief review of the Italian policy towards Jews before the fascist rule. The first part mainly carries on the brief review to the Italian policy to the Jew before the fascist rule.Jews first came to Italy as traders or slaves, and went through many difficult times. They experienced being expelled by the ruler, being restricted and oppressed by the "ghetto",and finally entered the liberation period in 1848.Jews began to break through the "ghetto" gradually, and in 1870,with the complete unification of Italy,Jews were finally liberated. After the unification of Italy, the policy towards Jews was relatively tolerant.Jews began to actively participate in Italian politics and public life. The second part mainly discusses the restrictive policy of Italy in the pre-fascist period(1922-1938).After the fascist regime came into power, due to the improvement of the social status of Jews, the strengthening of Mussolini’s antisemitic tendency and the need to strengthen the relationship with Nazi Germany, the policy towards Jews changed from the previous tolerance policy to the restrictive, and, over time, these restrictive policies have become more restrictive. The third part mainly expounds the persecution policy of the late period of Italian fascism(1938-1943).During this period,Mussolini’s racist and anti-semitic stance has also been fully highlighted. The Jews’condemnation of the Ethiopian war,the jewish anti-fascists’ activity and the successful practice of racism in the Italian colonies all promoted the formation and development of the persecution policy. At this stage, the persecution of Jews was mainly social and economic persecution, accompanied by some violent anti-semitic incidents. The fourth part mainly analyzes the Italian social republic’s policy towards Jews during the German occupation(1943-1945).During this period,Italian Jews were attacked, and their policies towards Jews had completely changed from social, economic and cultural persecution to physical persecution.Jews were facing the tragic of being sent to concentration camps and being killed,so they tried to rescue themselves. At the same time, the relief of the Italian society for Jews also played an active role in the final survival of Jews. The fifth part mainly explores the influence of Italian antisemitic policies under fascism. The influence of antisemitic policy is mainly reflected in two aspects.Firstly, for Jews, the anti-semitic policies in Italy during this period resulted in the economic poverty, caused great harm to the psychology of Jews and stimulated the national consciousness of the Jews and promoted the development of Zionism to a certain extent.Secondly is the impact on Italian culture:the implementation of antisemitic policies causes the outflow of Italian talents and impeded the academic development, which has a difficult impact on the inheritance and development of Italian culture.
