Research Of The Detachable Words In The 7^th Edition Of Modern Chinese Dictionary

Detachable words are an important part in the Chinese vocabulary system.Because of the particularity of integrating morphology and syntax,it has caused extensive research and discussion among scholars.The paper takes the detachable words in the 7~thh edition of Modern Chinese Dictionary,which is the most authoritative dictionary currently as the research object.Based on the method of combining quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis,we describe and analysis the detachable words in the dictionary from multiple perspectives.In comparison with the 6~thh edition of Modern Chinese Dictionary,this article makes an investigation and analysis on the part of its modification.This paper aims to present the complete picture of detachable words in the 7~thh edition of Modern Chinese Dictionary,which will be helpful to the further study and lexicography.This article mainly includes the following five parts:In the first part,this paper mainly introduces the research scope and object,research status,research methods and research value.The second part mainly makes a theoretical definition of the detachable words through the limitation of the extension of the extended finiteness and meaning integrity of the detachable word.At the same time,this part analyzes the processing of words from many angles,finds out the advantages and disadvantages of the way to deal with detachable words in the dictionary,and puts forward some suggestions to the disadvantages.The third part mainly analyzes the quantity and nature of the detachable words in the 7~thh edition of Modern Chinese Dictionary from the following aspects:the number of words,the classification of parts of speech,the grammatical features,the types of structure,the form of composition and the source of the detachable words.It is found that most of the detachable words cannot take an object,and are characterized by verb,verb-object structure,and the form of"free morpheme+free morpheme";Spoken words and dialect words as a representative of the life language are also important sources of detachable words.The fourth part mainly investigates the situation of additional detachable words by comparing with the 6~thh edition of Modern Chinese dictionary,analyzes the characteristics of the additional detachable words,and probes into the criteria for classifying detachable words in the dictionary and the causes of the additional detachable words in the 7~thh edition dictionary.The addition of detachable words in the7~thh edition dictionary is mainly due to the dissociability and neologism appear simultaneously;The dictionary classifies detachable words according to the theoretical circle of detachable words which is based on the meaning as a whole and the form can be extended;The acronym and the development of network have great influence on the additional detachable words,they are main factors for the addition of detachable words.The fifth part mainly summarizes the content of the article and pointing out the shortcomings of this paper.
