Language Research Of Zhang Ailing’s Novels

In Zhang Ailing’s works,the number of novels and prose creations is the most prominent,and the achievements of the novels are higher than the prose.Therefore,the paper takes Zhang Ailing’s novels as the research corpus,based on the specific background of the times,and starts with the language form,which can objectively describes and analyzes the language features expressed in Zhang Ailing’s novels.The main research method is data statistics,and this method will continue throughout the paper.The full text consists of five parts.The introduction part introduces Zhang Ailing’s situation,then reviews the current situation of novel language research and Zhang Ailing’s novel language research status.At present,there are not many researches on the study of novel language in academia.Most of the research on Zhang Ailing’s novels focuses on literature,and there are only a handful of articles on linguistic research.The first chapter is the study of Zhang Ailing’s novel vocabulary.Divided into four sections,the first section gives an overview of the general vocabulary of Zhang Ailing’s novels,and separates high-frequency words from non-high-frequency words.In Zhang Ailing’s novels,vocabulary includes both classical and ancient words,as well as dialects and foreign words.There are idioms and proverbs.It does not only reflect the color of spoken language but also the color of written language,showing the blend of Chinese and Western.The language features of the combination of elegance and vulgarity.The works of writers always reflect a certain social appearance.The study of folklore vocabulary is the most representative of the social customs of Shanghai at that time.Female vocabulary and color words are the characteristics of Zhang Ailing’s novels,and shall naturally be included in vocabulary research.The second chapter is the study of Zhang Ailing’s novel grammar.This part is mainly studied in five aspects: suffix analysis,overlapping words,the usage of adverbs,the usage of onomatopoeia,and the usage of dash as a prominent sentence.The front of four sections are studies conducted from the lexical form,and the last sections are syntactically expanded.The suffix analysis is dominated by “sub-suffixes”;The overlapping phenomenon of words is analyzed from the aspects of word formation overlap and configuration overlap.Nouns are mainly composed of word formation.Verbs and quantifiers are mainly composed of overlapping structures.Adjectives have overlapping of word formation and overlap of configuration;The adverbs are characterized by the characteristic adverbs in Zhang Ailing’s novels,and the analysis of dialect vocabulary in ZhangAiling’s novels is mainly included in these three sections.ZhangAiling’s usage of the onomatopoeia in the novel is very rich,and it is analyzed through data statistics.In Zhang Ailing’s novels,punctuation marks are most characteristic with dash,using statistical methods.The dash is counted separately for the point number and the label.The third chapter is the study of Zhang Ailing’s novel rhetoric.This part mainly studies long sentences,short sentences,repetitions,metaphors and other rhetorical phenomena.By comparing with the modern literary text corpus composed of most writers in the same period,it is found that Zhang Ailing has more long sentences and more tends to use short sentences in the writing;it is repeatedly divided into two consecutive repetitions and two isolations;"The search found that Zhang Ailing’s novels are rich in similes and metaphors,but the number of similes is more.The usage of various rhetorical methods shows that the language of Zhang Ailing’s novels is mature.In the conclusion part,the paper summarizes the characteristics of the language usage of Zhang Ailing’s novels.There are three main aspects: the social appearance and the characteristics of the writer’s words are reflected by the vocabulary;the characteristic grammar in the novel;the various usages of rhetoric.
