Study On Shangshu In General Catalogue Of Siku Quanshu

As an important part of the Confucian classics,the General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu records the important research works of Shangshu from Kong Yingda’s Shangshu Zhengyi to Qianlong Dynasty.Yu Jiaxi said,"The academic history of bibliographers is also there."Bibliography is helpful for scholars to understand a generation of academics.The General Catalogue of Books is a collection of the research results of Shangshu,which can also be regarded as a history of Shangshu.Based on the rule interests of the Qing Dynasty and the academic thoughts of Qian-Jia Sinology,the General Catalogue systematically summarizes the successes and failures of Shangshu studies in the past dynasties in the form of writing abstracts.This paper is divided into five chapters.It carries out a comprehensive and systematic study on he General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.Chapter one discusses the compilation of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.The first section starts with the developmentand evolution of official thought and academic thought from the early Qing Dynasty to the Qianlong Period,which reveals the close relationship with Shangshu in General Catalogue of Si ku Quanshu.And thus explores the compilation thought of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu,which is dominated by Han and combined with the Song Dynasties.The second section studies how the achievements made by the Qing government and academia influence the compilation thought of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.Chapter two,studies the standpoint of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.Focusing on the four issues mentioned in the Preface of Shangshu,they are:1.the authenticity of Shangshu in Ancient Chinese;2.the erroneous simplification of Shangshu;3.the landscapes of Yugong;4.the number of categories of Hongfan.This paper summarizes the standpoint of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu,and reveals the criteria for evaluating Shangshu in past dynasties.Chapter three,studies the history of Shangshu in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.This paper takes the Shanshu of song dynasty as an example.Reveals the Song Dynasty’s Shangshu history written by General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.Chapter Ⅳ studies the"keeping catalogues"of the Song Dynasty part of Shangshu:in General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.Firstly,this paper explores the general standard of"keeping catalogues"in General Catalogues,which reflects the cultural policy and academic orientation of the Qing Dynasty.Then it studies three books of Shangshu in Song Dynasty,which are recorded in the"keeping catalogues"of General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu.The fifth chapter is about the Song Dynasty part of General Catalogue of Books.General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu has its limitations in evaluating Shangshu in Song Dynasty from the standpoint of official and Sinology in Qing Dynasty.Therefore,the author will stand on the standpoint of modern academia,jump out of the view of the Han and Song dynasties,face up to the prejudice of General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu to Shangshu in Song Dynasty,and impartially evaluate the achievements of Shangshu in Song Dynasty.In order to get rid of the superstition of General Catalogue of Siku Quanshu,I hope it will be beneficial to the development of Siku.
