This thesis takes the degree adverbs ‘hen',‘ting' and ‘guai' in modern Chinese as the research object.Based on the linguistic facts, based on a large number of corpora, the author compares the structural collocation, syntactic composition and semantics of the three. In the introduction part, firstly, the scope of the research object is defined, and t he research status of the predecessors is reviewed. At the same time, the source and research methods of the corpus are introduced. In the second part, the grammar research is carried out on the adverbs of degree ‘hen',‘ting' and ‘guai'.Grammar research starts from the following two aspects: one is the component that can be modified by the degree adverb and the phrase obtained by collocation with other components;the other is the phrase ‘hen',‘ting' and ‘guai' or composed of three.A component that can act as a sentence. In the third part, the semantic adverbs of the degree adverbs ‘hen',‘ting' and ‘guai' are separately studied. When the three are used as adverbs of degree, they all indicate a high degree. However,in practical language applications, the three have some different meanings in addition to their conceptual meanings. The degree adverb ‘hen' can mean that the frequency is high,in addition to indicating a high degree of verticality or a wide range of lateral directions. In some cases, because of the particularity of the adjective being modified,‘hen' means that the meaning of the degree will be weakened. The degree adverb ‘ting' has a relatively high pragmatic meaning. After analysis, the author summarizes it into seven kinds, namely: expressing comfort,anti-expectation,subjective expansion, attitude mark, grade mark, reluctance, question inquiry. The pragmatic meaning of the degree adverb ‘guai' is relatively simple, mainly reflected in the emotional color of expressing relatives and ridicule. The fourth part is a comprehensive comparative analysis of the three, the contrast angle includes the components of the three modifiers, the components in the sentence and the semantics. The modifiers are refined to specific subclasses of the modified components, emotional colors, and syllable restrictions. The final conclusion part summarizes the writing ideas and main points of the full text, pointing out the highlights and shortcomings of the article.
