This report is an interpreting report of a BBC documentary Britain and the Sea.Involving a lot of geographical and historical knowledge, the documentary systematically sorts out the development and war history of Britain ocean. As an interdisciplinary translation theory,eco-translatology approaches and solves translation problems from the perspective of natural and harmonious ecological concepts, and it advocates ecological rationality. The theory integrates elements such as language, culture and communication into an organic whole,so that the translator can achieve self-adaption and optimize their selections in translation. The translator is not supposed to be restricted by a certain factor, but to translate in accordance with the ecological concept of "harmony between man and nature" in the overall environment, which consists of authors, readers, and trustees, etc. Thus, the dynamic equivalence of translation ecological environment can be achieved.Based on the theory of eco-translatology,this report discusses three questions: how does the interpreter reproduce the language style of the original text at linguistic level;how does the interpreter adapt to the target language environment while reproducing the source language environment at cultural level;how does the interpreter coordinate different translation community elements such as logical thinking and aesthetic standards. This report is divided into four sections: the description of the interpreting task, the interpreting process, the analysis of case studies and the conclusion drawn from this interpreting.Firstly, the interpreter gives a brief introduction to the interpreting material and the general background of the documentary, and simply describes the preparation before interpreting. Then, the interpreter focuses on the case studies and analyses the interpretation from different perspectives. The report ends with the conclusion that the interpreter needs to fully take care of the translation environment to improve the degree of holistic adaption and selection. At the language level,in order to reproduce the original artistic value, the translator needs to reappear the individualization of the words, and extends the artistic content from the language level to the cultural level step by step.At the cultural level, the translator should make his own understanding of the source language ecological environment due to the constraints of the original text, and implement the selection and manipulation of the translation to achieve the full transmission of cultural connotations.
