The Application Of Running-Regular Script In Modern Typeface Designation

This essay,taking consideration of word-formation experience,selects the Running-Regular Script as study objet,and aims at identifying its forms and elements.As calligraphy affects a lot in Chinese word-formation,works of running-regular script masters showed the calligraphy features and aesthetic experience in their designation and creation.This article consists of four parts.The first part mainly presents study purposes and analyses historical background as well as the current situation of running-regular script.The second part mostly provides the history of the development of running-regular script designation,and indicates the trends of typeface designation in modern background.The third part concentrates on applying running-regular script elements in typeface designation and finding out how traditional calligraphy art affects modern typeface designation.The fourth and the last part,combining author's vies,represents inventions of typeface under current society circumstances.
