An Interpreting Report On Senior Employee's Weekly Conference Of The Train Operation Depot Of A.A-Djibouti Railway

With the continuous construction of the “The Belt and Road initiative”,China's infrastructure support for Africa has been increasing.Therefore,a growing number of Chinese state-owned enterprises have come to participate in infrastructure designs and project operations.Thus,the conference negotiation will act as a vital role in the exchanges and cooperation with local governments and enterprises of Africa.Meanwhile during the commercial conference,the interpreter plays an important part in mutual communication.It is known to all that the international conference interpreting is not only related to the company's interests,but also a banner of the country's image.The quality and fidelity of interpreting,memory of notes,etc.,are crucial factors that constrain the processing of the conference.This paper uses the interpreting process of the China-Ethiopia senior employees' weekly conference as the source of interpreting report,and Gile's Effort Models as its theoretical guidance.The interpreting strategies that combine literal translation and free translation are used,and methods such as reorganization,adjustment of lexical order are analyzed during the interpreting process.At the same time,in order to improve the quality of translation and interpreting application,this paper also employs literature review,case analysis and comprehensive methods of interpreting knowledge.During the process of interpreting,the author integrates various interpreting skills,while combining with translation practice to ensure the output quality of interpreting,so as to achieve the purpose of improving the level of interpreting abilities.Finally,based on the working method of Effort Models,the author systematically analyzes the various parts of the interpreting activities,and proposes targeted coping strategies for each part of the cognitive load respectively.Nowadays with the deepening of globalization,the practical application of conference interpreting will be inevitably increased in many fields.In this paper,focusing on the characteristics,methods and skills of conference interpreting,the author chooses China-Ethiopia senior employees' conference as the research object on the basis of his interpreting experience.Thus,the author hopes to bring some enlightenment to his interpreting work in the future.
