Observing the actual teaching,the author finds that the Ukrainian students of intermediate Chinese level whose oral expression is logically confused.Logic is one of the foundations of oral expression,which is often lengthy,ambiguous,and unpersuasive because of lacing logic.Through reading and analyzing previous studies,the author finds that researches of oral Chinese teaching mainly focus on oral teaching grammar,foreign students’ oral learning strategies,oral teaching materials,and oral textual connection,etc.Few researches are related to logic.Here,through analyzing the characteristics and causes of Ukrainian students’ oral logical problems,the author hopes to provide practical suggestions for teachers and students,so as to improve the oral expression ability of Ukrainian intermediate level Chinese learners.Through analyzing logical problems in the paragraphs of middle rank HSKK mocks of Ukrainian students,the author finds out the logical errors mainly lie in two aspects,which are logical connection error and logical fallacy.The findings are as follow:(1)Ukrainian students’ use of conjunctions in HSKK model test is limited in frequency and diversity.The frequency of misusing conjunctions is roughly equal to the frequency of using conjunctions.The frequency of misusing conjunctions is in order of causality,addition,space-time relationship and transition relationship.In the relationship of addition,the logical connection errors are abuse,omission,misuse of the first sentence,miscellaneous structure and misuse of similar conjunctions.In the transitional relationship,the logical connection errors are mainly manifested in the misuse of the transitional relationship as the addition relationship,the misuse of the transitional relationship as the space-time relationship,the miscellaneous syntactic structure and the miscellaneous semantic relationship.In the causal relationship,logical connection errors focus on causal irrelevance,misuse of causal relationship as additive relationship,misuse of causal relationship as turning relationship and confusion of causal relationship.In terms of temporal relations,logical connection errors mainly focus on misuse of temporal-spatial relations as addition relations,time disorder,and misuse of similar conjunctions.(2)Typical logical fallacies in students’ language passages include conclusion fallacies of negative premises,scarecrow fallacies,incomplete perfection,resorting to authority,confusing topics,irrelevant fallacies,shifting topics,generalizing by bias,begging fallacies and concomitant causation.The author finds that there are four underlying causes of logical problems in students’ oral expression,different logical connections between Ukraine and Chinese,the limited contact with conjunctions,the instantaneity of oral language and the insufficient reasoning ability of students.At last,focusing on this issue,the author provides some corresponding suggestions from two sides--Chinese teaching and Chinese learning of intermediate stage. |
