A Report On The Chinese Translation Of The English Scripts Of Bundesliga Special

Since 2016,the author has been working as a part-time translator for Beijing Transmerry Information Technology Company and has translated into Chinese 16 English scripts of Bundesliga special program broadcasted by CCTV 5+.The original English scripts of this practice report are selected from the Bundesliga translation project.This report is to analyze the Chinese translation of the English scripts of Bundesliga Special programs.The scripts contain dubbing and narration part,and the original videos are to be combined with the translation of the scripts in the post-production stage,so the translation practice falls into the realm of audiovisual translation.Different from ordinary audiovisual translation,the author's translation project does not include a subtitling part.Based on the three models of audiovisual translation that are process models,comparative models and causal models,this report examines the characteristics of the translation project and the translation strategies that can cope with different difficulties in the translation process,so as to summarize some applicative,efficient,and innovative translation strategies that can be applied both in audiovisual translation as well as in football programs translation.The report first describes the basic information of the translation project,and reviews the relevant studies of both audiovisual translation and sports events translation.Then the translation process and the three models of audiovisual translation are introduced.Based on these contents,the author analyzes the proper translation strategies that can cope with different difficulties in the case analysis part.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the original English scripts and proper translation strategies that can be applied in the translation process,the report finds that in order to transmit European football culture,and achieve the program effect to the maximum extent,translators should flexibly and innovatively adopt translation strategies such as combination of different translation strategies,the help of databases,and assistance from specialists.And the author hopes that all the translation strategies analyzed in this report can be of great help to later practitioners.
