This is a report on the translation of Chapter 7 Conclusion and Key Messages of Child Abuse and Protection: Contemporary Issues in Research,Policy and Practice.This chapter establishes the concept of “child abuse” developed in Western social and cultural contexts;it summarizes the research,policies and practices about child protection.Translation of this chapter may help facilitate the connection between China and Western countries on communication and dialogues on child abuse.During the translation process,the difficulties lie in the translation of specialized terminology,place names,organization name,act names and other foreign languages(apart from the English language,).The translator adopts conversion,inversion and division translation strategies under the guidance of Skopos Theory to deal with these difficulties.
