This article focuses on the method of creating David Hockney's portraits of the naturalistic period from 1964 to 1981.In 1963,David Hockney moved from the United Kingdom to the United States.In the mid-to-late 1920 s,Hockney's painting style was completely turned to concrete,and many classic naturalistic portraits were born.This paper is divided into four sections on Hockney's early naturalistic portrait painting.The first piece is a review of his early life,exploring the embarrassment and choice between Hockney's prevailing populism and abstraction.The second part explores the changes in living environment and situation.The birth and development of early naturalistic portrait painting.The third and fourth chapters combine the contemporary portrait painter and David Hockney's own early and late styles to explore its nature.Characteristics of portraits.The fifth section discusses the form and concept of David Hockney.The use of photographs in form is not only the appearance of the object of writing,but also the spiritual experience of respecting nature and respecting oneself.
