The Influence Of Visual Emphasis On Sentence Processing

Researchers mostly use linguistic emphasis to explore the process of sentence understanding,less use of non-verbal emphasis.The characteristics of the red itself attract the attention of the individual.At the same time,it will also be influenced by color preference.Therefore,this study put forward a new idea:can we use red operation target words as a visual emphasis way,does its operation process affect individual's understanding of sentences?In addition,the emphasis on contrast is emphasized,and does the existence of contrast objects affect the processing of visual emphasis?This study is divided into four parts.The first part is the selection and evaluation of experimental materials,the team worked out in the form of experimental materials,preliminary evaluation and experimental evaluation to select suitable materials;the second part is the experimental one,to explore the different color preferences under the visual emphasis effect on sentence comprehension,the third part is the experiment two,to explore the process of the visual emphasis way to guide the construction of the contrastive relationship.Both experiment one and experiment two were studied by eye tracking technique.The findings and results show that:(1)visual emphasis can be used to regulate the early attention allocation of sentence processing.(2)visual emphasis does not imply a semantic contrastive relationship,and does not guide the construction of a contrastive relationship.(3)color preference affects the processing of visual emphasis through color.
