Color preference refers to the color that a person likes or prefers in psychology.This study introduces color preference variables on the “learning-test” paradigm to explore the relationship between color preferences and explicit and implicit memory in high school students.In this study,high school students were selected as subjects.The study consisted of two questionnaires: the use of questionnaires to investigate the current status of color preferences of high school students.The second study explored the relationship between color preferences and explicit and implicit memories of high school students through two experiments.Experiment 1 uses 2(gender: male,female)× 2(color rendering: color as background,color as font)× 3(color preference: the color with the highest preference,the color with medium preference,and the color with the lowest preference)mixed experiment design to explore the effects of color preference on explicit memory;Experiment 2 uses 2(gender: male,female)× 2(color rendering: color as background,color as font)× 3(color preference: the color with the highest preference,the color with medium preference,and the color with the lowest preference)mixed experiment design to explore the effects of color preference on implicit memory.Through experimental research,the following results are obtained:First,the color preferences of high school students have a certain order,which is generally blue,red,yellow,green,and purple.Second,high school students have significant gender differences in the color with the lowest preference.Boys do not prefer green,and girls do not prefer purple.Third,color preferences have a significant effect on both explicit memory and implicit memory.The color with the highest preference has a greater impact on the performance of the explicit memory,and the intermediate preference color has a greater impact on the implicit memory score.Fourth,the presentation mode has an impact on both explicit and implicit memory.Regardless of whether the presentation mode is background color or font color,the performance of explicit memory is better than implicit memory.The results suggest that the color preference of high school students has certain effects on explicit memory and implicit memory.The color with the highest preference has a greater effect on the performance of explicit memory.The intermediate preference color has a greater impact on the implicit memory score,regardless of the presentation method.Regardless of whether the presentation mode is background color or font color,the performance of explicit memory is better than implicit memory.
