The state's relief policy for the elderly and disabled people can be seen in the ancient Chinese dynasties.From the time of the Ming Dynasty,Zhu Yuanzhang,who was born in poverty,showed his unique sympathy and compassion for the widowed and lonely self-existing person.The ruling group led by him summed up the lessons of the former empires and the disabled,and ordered the states and counties to set up special officials.Charity-the Nursing Home,and put it in the "Da Ming Law."The Qingcheng system,which was damaged due to the age and other reasons,was rehabilitated and restored to its original functions with the help of the imperial court and the help of local officials.On the basis of the original,some new nursing homes have been added,which has greatly increased the number of nursing homes in the Qing Dynasty compared with the Ming Dynasty.The geographical scope has been expanding and the management structure has become increasingly sophisticated and perfect.In the Jiangxi region,actively responding to the government's call,the Yangji Institute is spread over almost every state and county.Based on historical data,this paper focuses on the Yangji Institute in Jiangxi during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Start,rebuild and distribute,scale and establishment,adoption targets,feeding standards,funding sources,etc.,analyze their daily operations and management,explore the problems encountered in the development of the Nutrient Institute and the government's response measures at that time.To understand the role played by the Jiangxi Yangji Institute in helping the poor and maintaining social stability during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,thus providing valuable experience and inspiration for thedevelopment of contemporary philanthropy.
