An Analytical Study On The Music And Performance Of The Premiere Rhapsodie

Achille-Claude Debussy is one of the outstanding composers in France from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.His works has far difference from Classical Period and Romanticism Ages.The changes that Debussy introduced in harmonic and orchestral usage influenced the composers who of the early and middle twentieth century.I take Premiere Rhapsodie as an object of this thesis.The purpose of this thesis is to study Premiere Rhapsodie,including the composer's life and the music style,analysis of the piece and different playing between clarinetists.This thesis consists of the introduction,the first to the third chapters and the conclusion.In the introduction,explaining the motives and the methods of the study.Discussing the life of Debussy and his music style in chapter one.Chapter two is to analyze the structure,motives and playing suggestions.Comparing different clarinetist's performances and my ideas in chapter three.In the conclusion,give a comprehensive of the thesis.
