Based on the"eight sights"related theoretical research, this thesis takes the transition of"Kunming Eight Sights"as the research object, adopts the research method of historical geography, and outlines the development and changes of"Kunming Eight Sights"with more detailed research. This thesis mainly focuses on the following parts:the first is the development process and characteristics of China's "eight scenic spots" culture;the second is to define the origin period and the final version of "Kunming Eight Sights";the third is to analyze the three landscapes which have close relationships with the changes of Dianchi;the fourth is to analyze the two landscapes that have significant influences on the development of Kunming City;the fifth is to analyze the four landscapes related to Kunming's ecological environment. On the research of"Eight Sights",the results are quite abundant.Based on the relevant research, this paper systematically analyzes and summarizes the"Eight Sights",analyzes several arguments about the origin of"Eight Sights",and draws relevant conclusions;and discovers further that there is no systematic research on the"Kunming Eight Sights".Therefore, this thesis focuses on this content for historical geography research. This study can clarify the basic context of the development of "Kunming Eight Sights",understand the development process of the"eight scenic spots"in the border areas, strengthen the sense of regional cultural identity, and have a positive effect on the planning, land use, tourism management and ecological protection of Kunming City. The evolution of"Kurnming Eight Sights”during the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties was closely related to the development of social politics, economy and culture in this area. The development of"Kunming Eight Sights"can be considered to have originated during the Yuan Dynasty, developed and prospered during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and shaped in three stages during the late Qing Dynasty. The builders of"Kunming Eight Sights"during the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties were mainly the local literary intelligentsias and scholar-bureaucrats.The "Dianchi Night Moon," landscape reflects the literary intelligentsias and scholar-bureaucrats' views of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Dianchi, especially in the Qing Dynasty. In order to facilitate the viewing and construction of the Daguanlou,"Guandu Fishing Light"reflects the process of water receding into the northeastern bank of Dianchi Lake. The disappearance of"Hongshan Reflection"is synchronous with the disappearance of"West Lake"."Yunjin Night Market"reflects the lively commercial trade situation outside of the southern Kunming city during the middle and late Qing Dynasty due to its unique advantage of location in Kunming."Jinbi Shines upon Each Other" reflects the spread and integration of culture.Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with the construction of the city, the increase of population, the need for production and life, the gradual reduction of forest vegetation within and around the city,"Shangshan Woodcutter Singing"and "Wuhua lingering" almost disappeared during the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China."Luofeng Green Forests"can still be found in the Yuantongshan Zoo.The scene of "Cuihu Spring Dawn" can still be felt in Cuihu Park, but it has lost its former lingering charm.
