Nowadays,the popularity of the Internet makes people more and more restless,and more and more people are in pursuit of the exaggerated works of art.But these works of art cannot withstand the test of time,and will inevitably pass in the long river of history.But no matter in what era,there will emerge some masters,whose works always influence the development of contemporary art.At the end of the 19 th century,the representative of the Nabi School,Vuillard,expressed the picture in a decorative and planar way.He perfected himself on the basis of learning the symbolist artist Ganguin.The Austrian separatist painter Klimt at the end of 19 th century showed his complex and indescribable heart through the gorgeous decorative meanings in his paintings.This paper mainly analyzes the influence of two artists on the development of modern and contemporary art and the inspiration to the author's painting creation from the aspects of the convergence of the painting forms and the difference of Vuillard's and Klimt's painting.In the previous research results,the research of Vuillard mainly focused on the decoration of the picture,the simplification of the modeling and the color.The research of Klimt mainly concentrates on the interpretation of decorative expression language and female theme in the picture.There is too little comparative analysis of the two artists of the same era.This paper analyzes the artistic features of Vial and Klimt,through the analysis of their works,this paper further sorts out the use of decorative language in their works,and compares the similarities and differences of their artistic features from the aspects of modeling,color,composition,brushwork,etc.thus providing a new perspective for the study of the artistic features of Vuillard and Klimt.
