Li Shutong’s Research On Music Education And Music Creation

Li Shutong(1880-1942)was born in Tianjin rich merchant’s home.He was 62 years old in 1942.He lived in Wenling Nursing Home of No.2 Temple in Quanzhou,Fujian Province.He went through two historical periods: Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.He was one of the famous enlightenment music educators and the founders of school music songs in modern music history of China.From the point of view of history,this paper studies Li Shutong’s music education course,music creation and music education thought,contribution and influence of music creation.The first part,through his life and career of music education,explores Li Shutong’s music education thought,narrates Li Shutong’s family background and learning experience,as well as the important role of his family background and learning experience in the formation of Li Shutong’s music education thought.In the second part,the artistic characteristics of Li Shutong’s music works are analyzed through his way of music creation,as well as his patriotic songs,lyric songs and philosophical songs.The third part studies the contribution and influence of Li Shutong’s music education thought and music creation.In the course of the research,the author analyzed the significance of Li Shutong’s music education thought from the angle of music education and music creation,as well as the characteristics of Li Shutong’s music creation and the influence of the times,using the comprehensive research methods of history research,music literature research and music analysis.This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of Li Shutong’s music art career,music creation,music education and his thoughts,contributions and influences,and tries to construct a more three-dimensional and diversified artistic style of a generation of famous masters from the perspective of music history,thus contributing to the study of modern Chinese music history.
