In the context of “Internet plus” era and the influence of entrepreneurship spirits,Chinese successful entrepreneurial elites who not only provide the power of role models for the young generation but also play an important role on the international stage are also emerging one after another.Therefore,the author selected a series of CCTV documentary calledEntrepreneurinChina as the primitive language material to carry on the Chinese-English consecutive interpreting practice,aiming at exploring how the interpreters will deal with the run-on sentences with their translation strategies.Under the guidance of Skopostheorie,this thesis explores some translation difficulties as well as the corresponding solutions in terms of the run-on sentences in primitive language after doing the practice of Chinese-English consecutive interpreting documentary Entrepreneur in China.For example,it classifies these translation problems into three types: long sentences,lack of logic and the differences in expression between Chinese and English.Then,this report attempts to discuss what are the best solutions to those problems through detailed analyses of the difficulties encountered by the interpreter.More importantly,it is hoped that this thesis could provide a valuable reference to researches of such kinds in related subjects in the future.
