This report is about the auther’s experience as an interpreter, entrusted by College of International Culture Exchange of Hebei Normal University, serving an interscholastic visit. It has four parts: task description, process description, case analysis and summary. The author discusses in detail the task background, preparation, and interpreting process. Through the analysis of the cases the author figures out the problem with the interpreter and presents solutions. Finally, the author concludes this practice with the prospect of the future study and work.After the detailed discussion of the whole process, this report points out that Daniel Gile’ s Effort Models has great guiding significance to consecutive interpretation; The Skopostheorie of Functional translation theory has an important directive significance to preparation, which in turn has a great impact on the consecutive interpretation; students interpreters should treat interpreting activities with a sound mindset.
