The team of teachers headed by Yang Lizhu,a famous nation-level teacher of the Psychological School of Liaoning Normal University,launched a national superior resource sharing course called Developmental Psychology,which aims to give students a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of basic theoretical questions like the individual's psychological development motivation,universality and particularity,and developmental stages,to enable students to better understand and learn psychology in order to make greater contributions to developmental psychology in the future.However,there are few English translation in resource sharing courses,or English translation is very rough.Therefore,accurate translation of resource sharing courses is conducive to strengthening the international community's understanding of Chinese education,and promoting exchanges between China and other countries in education to jointly improve the level of education.This practice report takes the national superior resource sharing course Developmental Psychology as an example to carry out simulated consecutive interpretation.This resource sharing course mainly elaborates the law of individual psychological occurrence and development and the age characteristics of lifelong psychological development from the perspective of life.The selection of this resource sharing course as a translation corpus has theoretical and practical value.Through the translation of the resource sharing course,the translator finds that the key to improving translation efficiencyis to deal with the run-on sentences in Chinese-English consecutive interpreting.Through the translation practice,we find that the problems in the process of translation mainly include loose sentences and more oral expression,redundant information and language disorder,lack of sentence composition and lack of explicit connection,etc.By using the theory of Skopostheorie,the corresponding solutions arefound,including reorganization,deletion,discourse interpretation,disassembly,amplification,synthesis and so on.And this paper puts forward the effective strategies to deal with the problem of run-on sentences translation in order to contribute to the practice of interpreting in the national superior resource sharing courses in the future.
