A Study Of Safeguarding Yichang Sizhu In The Perspective Of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Yichang Sizhu is an important part of Chinese Sizhu music.It is a popular traditional musical expression form in the Yaqueling Town of Yiling District,Yichang City,Hubei Province.In history,Yichang Sizhu is closely related to folk rituals,which runs through the traditional life ceremony of the Yaqueling people.At present,the cultural space of Yichang Sizhu has greatly changed.As far as the community is concerned,the cultural space of Yichang Sizhu has gradually narrowed;but in terms of the protection vision of intangible cultural heritage,the cultural space of Yichang Sizhu is gradually expanding.In2006,Yichang Sizhu was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list(later renamed “National Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Project Directory”).Yaqueling Town which has bred Yichang Sizhu,is also known as “Hometown of Hubei Sizhu” and “Hometown of Chinese folk custom music”.In this paper,the protection of intangible cultural heritage as the research field of vision,using the theories and methods of anthropology,folklore and art to study Yichang Sizhu.Through field investigation,the formation,development and artistic characteristics of Yichang Sizhu are summarized.Through literature research and cross-cultural comparative study,the commonalities and differences between Yichang Sizhu and Jiangnan Sizhu were analyzed.Through the refinement and summarization of the field investigation results,it is found that the difficulties in inheritance and protection of Yichang Sizhu were as follows: the change of cultural space,the older inheritors and the less successors,the lack of long-term mechanism in school transmission,and the division of functions of protection agencies still need to be optimized.According to the predicament of Yichang Sizhu,this paper puts forward to strengthen the community culture identity,protect traditional life rituals,perfect the inheritor assessment mechanism,expand the way of inheritance,perfect the long-term mechanism of school dissemination,perfect the scientific management system,optimize the division of functions of institutions,strengthen the countermeasures of theoretical research and suggestions.This paper aims to take Yichang Sizhu as the research object.By solving the problems in inheritance and protection of Yichang Sizhu,hoping to provide reference for the inheritance and protection of the same type of intangible cultural heritage projects.
