Study On The Crying Verbs Of "Hao" In Modern Chinese

In the research of contemporary Chinese vocabulary,the study of verbs has always been concerned by linguists.And it has attracted the attention of language scholars.As one of the sub-categories of verbs,"crying" is a common verb in contemporary Chinese language.It can express our woes and joys and it is indispensable in our daily life.In recent years,some scholars have made a rough research on the meaning of "crying" and they have achieved some research results.However,these results are not comprehensive enough.So there is still bigger research space.This paper is divided into the following four parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the purpose and significance,the object and scope,the status and methods,and the corpus sources of this study.The second part has an analysis of semantic features of"ai hao" bei hao?gan hao?hao ku?hu hao?hao tao",Firstly,it analyses their semantic similarities features.Secondly,it analyses their distinctive features.It finds out the and differences among the six verbs as well as the members of each group.The third part is a syntactic study.Firstly,this paper describes the number of subjects of crying verbs from the perspective of thematic roles;secondly,it analyzes the main syntactic components in the sentences and the proportion of them.Finally,it analyses their collocation with the aspect markers such as "zhe,le,guo" and "qi lai"The fourth part first analyses the stylistic distribution of "ai hao?bei hao?gan hao?hao ku?hu hao?hao tao",and then analyses the similarities and differences of their sentence distribution.The fifth part is the conclusion.Firstly,it summarizes the characteristics of semantic distinction.And secondly,it makes an analysis of syntactic level.Finally,it makes a summary at the pragmatic level.The research of this topic has a certain academic value for the study of verb expression in modern Chinese.And its conclusions also have a corresponding theoretical basis and reference value.The analysis of the semantic representations,syntactic features and pragmatic functions of "ai hao?bei hao?gan hao?hao ku?hu hao?hao tao" can not only enrich t the ideas and methods of verb subcategory research in theory,deepening and breaking through to a certain extent,but also it can help the learns expand the vocabulary and improve the application Level of Chinese Language.
