Nowadays,we are in an age of information explosion.Various kinds of news are growing at a rapid rate, and the news audience is seriously "over-loaded".In view of this, some trivial contents need to be properly deleted and lengthy stories need to be addressed for the convenience of readers. The Eco-translatology system has been developed since 2010,which interpret translation activities from Darwin’s theory of "survival of the fittest" and "natural selection".At the same time, based on Chinese native philosophy "Nature and Man in one" and "Doctrine of Nature",Eco-translatology has demonstrated the wisdom of the Chinese ecological translation. In short, this theory not only has the scientific nature that accords with the natural mechanism, but also has a solid philosophical foundation, which universality in translation activities is very obvious.Guided by the theory of Eco-translatology,this report takes news articles as research object which is translated by the author during her internship in the Global Network’s military and military platform. The purpose of this report is to guide the compilation of English news with Eco-translatology,and to provide some inspirations and lessons for researchers in the field. This translation report is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes the task aim, including the requirement and standard of the translated version. The second chapter describes the preparation, translation process and post-translation proofreading. The third chapter introduces Eco-translatology and its adaptability in news compilation. With the guidance of Three Dimensional Transplantation, the author focuses on the lexical characteristics and sentence patterns of the text ecology and explores translation strategy of news headlines and guides under the guidance of Adaption and Selection. The fourth chapter summarizes the experience of this translation practice.
