A New Research On The Issues Of Generals Suiyuan City In The Qing Dynasty

In the Qing Dynasty,the general of Suiyuan City was established in the second year of Emperor Qianlong(1737).In the first year of the Republic of China(1912),the last general Kunxiu was stepped down.The general of Suiyuan City has existed for 176 years,during which there are 148 terms of appointed,acting,and nursing generals,111 people in total.At present,the academic community has made many achievements in the related research of General Suiyuan City.However,on the one hand,most previous studies took the general of Suiyuan city as a kind of military system or discussed the evolution of his authority with the vice governor of the Guihua City(Dutong)and Shanxi Province,there is a lack of targeted research on the group of generals in the city of Suiyuan.On the other hand,previous research is limited to the appointed generals,neglecting the attention of the acting and nursing generals,so it is difficult to achieve an overall picture of generals.As for the specific issues of the origin,term of office and whereabouts of this group of people,there are very few discussions.This paper plans to focus on the group of generals of Suiyuan City,and further explores the origins,term of office and whereabouts of the generals of Suiyuan City through quantitative analysis,and on this basis,comprehensively summarizes and objectively evaluates its characteristics and highlights.Simultaneously,this article regards the group of generals of Suiyuan City as the core and divides it into three parts.the first part discusses that the general of Suiyuan city is the result of diversity of many aspects,such as political,military,economic,cultural,ethnic and geographic.It examines the historical origins of the site selection of Suiyuan City,General Youwei and General Suiyuan City in the identity and system transformation.Also,it confirmes the important role played by General Youwei in the history of the construction of Suiyuan City.In the second part,through the extensive collection,sorting,proofreading the archives and historical records related to General Suiyuan City,a more complete form of the generals was produced.Through this form,a detailed quantitative analysis is conducted on Suiyuan City general's origin,term of office,whereabouts and other issues,and then combined with the characteristics of the GeneralYouwei in the first part,a comprehensive summary is made.The third part focuses on the characteristics of the changes in the powers of the generals of the city in local governance and central control.The article tries to reintegrate the overall characteristics of the local multi-governance system under the jurisdiction of the generals of the Qing Dynasty by understanding the ownership and distribution of different powers,and then excavates the internal connotation of its institutional design.
