During the 13th and 14th centuries,the western missionary Lubruk wrote in his travels "Rubrook East":"When I found myself in them,I really felt like I was in another century.".With the pace of the Mongolian Western Expedition in the 13-14th century,the Mengyuan dynasty had became a world-famous power.This social and historical situation that had caused a large number of ethnic migrations provided new exchanges among the East,the West and the Mongolian.Every nation has similar ritual customs in birth,marriage and funeral.The research object of this article is 11 Mongolian travel notes written froml3th to 14th centuries.We use the theory of"mirror in the mirror" from the perspective of intercultural communication to compare research records.In the travel book,the rituals of life,trying to break through their own subjective limitations,through the "other" perspective to achieve objective understanding of the Mongolian culture.This paper consists of three parts:introduction,body(first chapter,second chapter,third chapter,fourth chapter)and conclusion.The introduction part mainly explained the basis of the topic,and the object,the status,scope,methods,purposes of the research,including explanation of related terms.Firstly,we divide the etiquette of life into three parts:age ranksrites,marriage etiquette,funeral rites,etc.,Then wedivide the age rites into three parts:birth rites,adult rites,and ritual customs;the marriage into marriage form and family etiquette;the funeral into funeral form and taboo.Based on the statistics of the relevant etiquettes in the 11 travel notes,the paper carried out comparative research from the three perspectives of the East,the West and the Mongolian themselves,summarized their commonalities and characteristics.Through the analysis of the Mongolian life etiquette in the eyes of the East and the West,the common grounds were:The folklore that can be directly observed or recognized between the East and the West and the Mongolian itself are basically the same.The records include Mongolian hair accessories and costumes,marriage forms,funeral forms,use of fire to purify evil spirits,etc.The different personalities are as follows:(1)The content of the Mongolian life etiquette and customs recorded by the East and the West Western travels is more comprehensive and comprehensive on life etiquette and customs than that recorded by the Oriental Travel Notes.(2)1t cannot be directly observed or Cognitive and implicit connotations of folklore,such as the Mongolian attitude towards the filial piety,the attitude or behavior towards the elderly,and the reasons behind the planting,the records between the East and the West and the Mongolian itself Differences,omewhat of ignorance and even misunderstanding about a certain kind of life etiquette showed the phenomenon of arbitrariness or arbitrary orientation.Finally,based on the above characteristics,the reasons for its formation are analyzed,and the reasons are divided into objective conditions(the characteristics of folklore itself,the route and time of travel,the value orientation of the translator itself)and subjective conditions(the difference of tourists' perceptions,tourism The means of communication)were analyzed in two parts.In the process of intercultural communication,the spread of Mongolian life etiquette shows complex characteristics,each of which is the result of various objective and subjective conditions.This paper uses the literature content analysis method and the comparative research method to analyze the characteristics and causes of the Mongolian people's life and customs in the eyes of the East and the West in the 13th-14th century.It can be based on history,the cross-cultural communication of folklore and the understanding of the Mongolian life and customs.Historical sources have reference and practical guidance.
