| In today’s world,with the rapid development of science and technology,a variety of new scientific and technological products keep emerging,with the competition among countries being ever intense in science and technology.With the rapid development of various industries in contemporary China,the translation market in China has a huge demand for professional scientific and technological translation talents.However,there is still a gap between professional translators in various fields and the demand.Therefore,the importance of translation for science and technology is increasingly prominent.With the advent of the cloud era,big data,as an import.ant link in the field of science and technology,has attracted more and more attention.In the 1970s,functionalist theory emerged in Germany.Skopos Theory,put forward by the German translator Hans Vermeer,is the core content of the German functionalist translation theory.The three rules of Skopos Theory include skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule,among which skopos rule is the highest rule and the other two rules are subject to it.This paper is a translation practice report and the source text of the translation practice report is selected from Big Data on Real-World Applications.The fourth chapter Medical Big Data Analysis in Hospital Information System" of the book is selected as the source text for translation in this translation report.This report takes Skopos Theory as the guidance of translation practice and analyzes specific translation examples encountered by the translator in the process of translation.Chapter one mainly describes the translation task and introduces its background and significance.Chapter two introduces the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,translation process and post-translation work.The third chapter is the theoretical guidance of the translation process,namely the introduction of Skopos Theory and its three principles.The fourth chapter is a case analysis in which the translator mainly analyzes the source text and target text from the aspects of vocabulary,syntax and text guided by Skopos Theory.Chapter five summarizes the findings,benefits and limitations in the translation process and puts forward suggestions for future research and practice.This report focuses on the translation of scientific and technical texts under the guidance of Skopos Theory.This translation practice research can not only provide theoretical guidance for similar scientific text translation,but also can be used as a reference for future translation studies of relevant texts. |
