The report is a review on the translation of Chapter ? and Chapter ? of Credit and Credibility: Risks to China's Economic Resilience,written by Logan Wright and Daniel Rosen,published in 2018.This article mainly analyzes how China maintains its sustained and stable economic growth from its own characteristics against the background of international financial crisis.Credit and Credibility: Risks to China's Economic Resilience illustrates the current situation and future trend of China's economic development objectively.Therefore,the translation of this report is of great benefit to the Chinese authorities in formulating policies in line with China's economic development in the future.The report consists of five chapters.Chapter One introduces the project including origin,significances,requirements and the report structure;Chapter Two describes the process of translation practice in detail,including preparations,while translation and proofreading after translation.It mainly introduces preparations,including the introduction to source text and the author of source text,references to parallel texts and so on;Chapter Three introduces Li Changshuan's “Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation” analytical framework;Chapter Four is the case study.It analyses the problems in translation from three dimensions: comprehension,expression and adaptation.This part also elaborates on the comprehension of economic terms,names of institutions,attributive clauses,adverbial clauses and passive sentences,puts forward some translation requirements such as avoiding translationese,avoiding redundancy and avoiding ambiguity,and proposes some translation methods like adding,omitting and restructure according to translation practice.Chapter Fiveconcludes some experiences from this translation practice,existing problems needed to be solved as well as directions for further studies.The report reappears some specific translation problems in terms of vocabulary and syntax by using “comprehension,expression and adaptation” analytical framework.Besides,it is aimed to sum up some translation methods and specific requirements which are applicable in directing economic texts translation such as addition,omission,avoiding translationese,avoiding ambiguity and so on.The author hopes the report can provide reference for improving translation quality of financial texts.
