After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty,as the first country to pay tribute,Annan established diplomatic relations with the Ming Dynasty. However, with the development of the national power of the Ming Dynasty and the changes in the political situation in Annan, the Ming Dynasty also constantly adjusted its policy toward Annan. From Hongwu to Xuande, the Ming Dynasty and Annan experienced a period of friendly diplomacy, war, domination, reconciliation, and finally returned to normal diplomatic relations.Since then, the policies of the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties on Annan have been adjusted and implemented on the basis of the policies formulated by Emperor Taizu. Therefore, the changes in the policy toward Annan in the early Ming Dynasty had a profound impact on the relationship between Ming and Qing dynasties and Annan, and laid the main tone of the Ming and Qing Dynasty's policy toward Annan. In the early Ming Dynasty, the relationship between the Ming Dynasty and Annan was mainly divided into three stages. The first was the Hongwu period, the Ming Dynasty established diplomatic relations with Annan.Emperor Taizu learned the lessons from the Yuan Dynasty's diplomacy, tried to build a traditional and peaceful diplomatic system, established a peaceful diplomatic concept for his later generations. After established diplomatic relations with the Ming Dynasty, because of the development of national consciousness,Annan has many contradictions in terms of territory and diplomatic concept with the Ming Dynasty.Emperor Taizu repeatedly persuaded that it is still difficult to solve. After determining that Annan would not affect the domination of the Ming Dynasty,Emperor Taizu finally adopted a laissez-faire attitude.During the Yongle period, the contradictions between Annan and the Ming Dynasty were getting worse, taking Chen Tianping's incident as the fuse,Emperor Chengzu finally launched a war against Annan and directly ruled there.Emperor Chengzu implemented the assimilation policy in Annan. However, due to some policy mistakes, there had been many rebellions in Annan. To Hong Xi,Xuande period, due to the excessive overdraft of national power during the Yongle period, there were many internal contradictions in the Ming Dynasty, and Annan had become a heavy burden for the Ming Dynasty's finances, hindered the recovery and development of the national power of the Ming Dynasty. With the failure of the Ming Dynasty military operations in Annan,Emperor Xuanzong eventually withdrew from Annan. After the hard negotiations, the diplomatic relations between Ming and Annan gradually returned to normal. The Ming Dynasty's policy toward Annan was influenced by many factors such as the national power of the Ming Dynasty, the situation in Annan, and the idea of the ruler and so on.This is also one of the important links in the establishment of the diplomatic system of the Ming Dynasty. The changes in the relationship between the Ming Dynasty and Annan in the early Ming Dynasty not only had a profound impact on these two countries,it also had a certain impact on other countries in East Asia.
