The Concept Of "Wu" And "Li" In Guo Xiang's Zhuangzi Zhu

The wu(?)discussed by Guo Xiang??in Zhuangzi Zhu???(The Commentary on the Zhuangzi)usually contained reflection on“human”.Under this premise,as for the existential state of wu,there were considerations of“restrictions”,and the opening of“change”in Guo Xiang's elucidation.Therefore,for the way of“interaction”(jie?and ying?),Guo Xiang stressed the respect for the“inherent resources”of wu based on the reality of“the field of wu”(you wu zhi yu????),in order to achieve spontaneous actions and effects.At the same time,the existence of wu and the utterance of li(?)cannot be separate.In addition to the usual usage,on the one hand,Guo Xiang elucidated li as the manifestation of wu itself;on the other hand,he also said li as the measure of the action of wu,and then expressed the connection between ziran(??)and legitimacy.When we refer to Song?Confucianism,to think about whether li was“unity”(yi?)or“multiplicity”(duo?),Guo Xiang did not clearly presented,but it also implied the“unity”and“multiplicity”meaning.On this basis,the intrinsic difference between wu and wu was hidden,and the problem was turned to“integration”(huitong??).Even so,when this question came to the dynamic relation of social governance,there was a“historic paradox”revealed by the“so”(suoyi??)problem.Therefore,out of general concern for wu,Guo Xiang took ideas such as the non-objective relationship between each other,the moral actions proceed from human nature,the reasonable requirements for external order,and the ideal expectation of individual self-realization,as the theoretical construct from wu and li to lun(?)and li,which ran through group subsistence and political operation.
