Emotional Intelligence And Scientific Research Pressure Of Postgraduate Students:A Moderated Mediating Model

Relational definition that stress is a kind of subjective feeling as well as the interaction results of individual personality and environment.In the paper,the scientific pressure is defined as a kind of mentation when a graduate faces the challenges from research which is beyond his capability.Previous studies have demonstrated that emotional intelligence,resilience,team atmosphere is closely related with the research pressure,and they relate to each other closely.The modest pressure promotes the graduates to keep enthusiasm and energy on research,but excessive pressure will provoke academic misconduct and their burnout.To find out the status of the graduates' research pressure,analyze the mediation of resilience between emotional intelligence and research pressure,it is of great significance to reduce graduates' scientific pressure more quickly and effectively.Analyze the moderated mediation of team atmosphere between emotional intelligence,resilience and research pressure,it can provide more useful guidance for colleges and graduate tutors to reduce the research pressure and improve the quality of research.In Study 1,after pilot test and formal test,item analysis,exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyze the sample data.The formal scale composed of 6 items,and has good reliability and validity.Descriptive statistical analysis found that postgraduates have high pressure;The comparison of graduates' research pressure shows that,there is no significant difference in different gender,different education,different discipline,however,the means of second-year graduates were significantly higher than other grates.In Study 2,we used SPSS19.0 software to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence,resilience and research pressure.The results show that significant negative correlation among emotional intelligence,resilience,team atmosphere and research pressure.In addition,emotional intelligence,resilience,team atmosphere can negatively predict the research pressure of graduate students.In Study 3,based on the finding of study 2,study 3 further explored the mechanism between emotional intelligence and research pressure.The results show that resilience play a mediator between emotional intelligence and research pressure,team atmosphere play a moderator between emotional intelligence and research pressure.Besides,team atmosphere acts as a moderated mediator between emotional intelligence,resilience and research pressure.
