The Relationship Between Vocational School Contestants’ Stress Coping,Emotional Intelligence And Resilience | | Posted on:2018-06-10 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Yao | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330518479423 | Subject:Development and educational psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Vocational School Contestants’ mechanisms of stress coping haveimportant influence on their performance in stress situations of competitions.In order to explore contestants’ coping mechanisms and what kind of stress coping is helpful for the contestants’ stable performance,This study is based on the contestants’ stress coping.On this basis to discuss the relationship between skills competitors’ emotional intelligence,resilience and stress coping,360 competitors who had taken part in municipal qualifying competitions were surveyed with self-designedStress Coping Questionnaire,EIS and Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale.Results:(1)The self-designedStress Coping Questionnaire has good reliability and validity with internal consistency reliability ranging from 0.711 to 0.854 and construct validity ranging from 0.766 to 0.847.The result of confirmatory factor analysis of it has met the index of fitness model.(2)Thestress coping strategiesused by skills competitorsare problem-focused coping,transcendence coping,emotion-focused and avoidance coping.Problem-focused coping,transcendence coping and emotion-focused and avoidance coping vary significantly in gender and awards.Boy students rather than girl students tend to use problem-focused coping,transcendence coping and emotion-focused and avoidance coping.Top players are better at applying stress coping than ordinary ones.(3)Skills competitors’ emotional intelligence fluctuates above the average level and varies significantly on genderand awards.Boy students’ emotional intelligence and other dimensional levels transcends obviously than girl students.The level of top players’ emotional intelligence and other dimensions are higher than ordinary competitors.(4)Skills competitors’ resilience fluctuates above the average level and varies significantly on genderand awards.Boy students’ resilience,goal planning,positive thinking and family support are significantly better than girl students.The level of top players’ resilience,goal planning,emotion control,positivecognition,family support,individual power and supportive power is considerably higher than that of ordinary competitors.(5)Emotional intelligence and resilience are effective indicators of stress coping.Goal planning,positive cognition,the regulation on other people’s emotion,emotion sense and emotion control have positive correlations with coping style.Based on theseconclusions,my suggestion is that vocational schools should cultivate players’ ability of rationalizing their cognition,setting goals and managing emotions through a variety of ways. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Vocational School Students, Skills Competition, Stress Coping, Emotional Intelligence, Resilience | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
