Language is the foundation and carrier of culture.Chinese learners gradually contact and understand Chinese culture through learning Chinese,and their identification with Chinese culture will have a great impact on their learning motivation,thus affecting the effect of Chinese learning.This paper takes Chinese learners whose native language not Chinese and grows outside of China as the research object.Through the questionnaire we discover the Chinese cultural identity of Chinese learners and the motivation of Chinese learning and analyze the correlation between them,and explore whether Chinese cultural identity will have an impact on Chinese learning motivation of Chinese learners.The introduction of this paper mainly expounds the research background,research purposes,research ideas and research methods,summarizes the previous research results.The first chapter introduces the related concepts and theories involved in this research,provides a solid theoretical basis for the research.The second and the third chapter are the core contents of this paper.On the basis of analyzing the Chinese cultural identity and the motivation of Chinese learners,analyzes the correlation between them.Starting from cultural identity,it puts forward reasonable suggestions on how to strengthen the motivation of Chinese learning,and provides reference for Chinese teaching of overseas volunteers in the future.The study found that the cultural identity stage of Chinese learners is expressed as“emotion-behavior-cognition”,and the recognition of spiritual culture decreases with the increase of learning time;learning motivation still mainly instrumental motivation,the trend of integration motivation is obvious.The attitude of the second language learning plays a key role in determining whether the learner is willing to continue learning Chinese.The higher the cultural identity of Chinese learners,the stronger the motivation for learning,and the recognition of spiritual culture has the greatest impact on learning motivation.Finally,it is suggested that teachers should pay attention to the influence of cultural identity on strengthening learning motivation,improve the willingness to learn Chinese withmaterial cultural identity,“symbolicize” institutional culture,and explain spiritual culture from “female perspective”.
