Research On The Epic Poems By Quan Zuwang

Quan Zuwang was a famous historian,writer and thinker of the Qing Dynasty.He wrote a lot all his life.Zhu Zhuyu’s Collection and Annotation of Quan Zuwang’collection contains his poems and essays more fully.Among them,except for the three volumes of Gouyutuyin and Huangya,the ten volumes of Jieqiting Poetry Collection basically include the poems written by the whole ancestor’s life.The Jieqiting Poetry Collection contains a total of 843 poems,and there are nearly 300 epic poems.Quan Zuwang’s epic poems are deeply influenced by his Confucian classics and historiography.Their narratives are concentrated in political,social and human events,with distinct documentary features.On the basis of honouring the loyal martyr and swearing scribes in the past dynasties,he also talked about the emperors and female models.The ancient style of Quan Zuwang’s epic poems is flexible,its style is diverse,and its rhymes are mature;it is based on the coherence of style and sentiment,and it is flexible to use various allusions to supplement history with poetry,to correct history with poetry and to take heart as history;and its language is concise and sophisticated,characterized by repetition of words and reciprocating reciprocity.Quan Zuwang’s creation of epic poems is closely related to his academic orientation and life experience.It is also deeply influenced by the specific era atmosphere in the early Qing Dynasty,academic culture in Eastern Zhejiang and the family culture of Quan Family.The full text is divided into five parts,namely the introduction,the body of the three chapters and the conclusion.The introduction part combs the research status ofQuan Zuwang’s epic poems,briefly expounds the edition,publishing and research value of the Jieqiting Poetry Collection,and explains the research methods and ideas of the article.The first chapter summarizes the background of the creation of Quan Zuwang’s epic poems in combination with the existing achievements of the academic circles.Chapter two explores and analyses the ideological connotation of Quan Zuwang’s epic poems.Chapter three explores the artistic features of Quan Zuwang’s epic poems from three aspects: the style of poetry,the method of expression and the form of language.The conclusion mainly elaborates the historical position of Quan Zuwang’s epic poems and its contribution in the history of literature.
