The medical translation in China boasts a long history.Dated back to the Han Dynasty,it makes continuous progress amid twists and turns during the following dynasties,and reaches its prime time during Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.The initiation of the reform and opening-up policy saw further progress made by medical translation.Being a book centered on neurosurgery,DTI-Based Fiber Tracking for Brain Structure and Function features short sentences without subjects and is spattered with numerous medical casebooks.Based on the author's practical experience,and the traits carried by the book,this article reviews the entire history of medical translation and neurosurgery in China.Based on its importance and characteristics and under the guidance of Equivalence theory,this article adopts many translation methods,such as combination,addition,omission and transformation,to deal with the text and has yielded expected fruits. |
