| With the continuous deepening of economic globalization and rapid improvement of modern medical level,academic exchanges in the medical field at home and abroad are becoming increasingly frequent.Medical papers,as the main carrier for reporting the world’s medical scientific research advances and clinical work experience,have quickly become the first-hand source for medical scientific researchers and medical workers to obtain cutting-edge medical information.There is no doubt that the“accurate” translation of medical papers will help speed up the dissemination of medical research achievements around the world and promote the development of human health care.As a branch of scientific and technological papers,the medical paper has distinguished stylistic features,such as medical term and abbreviation,passive voice,and long and complex sentence,which to some extent increases the difficulty of understanding and translating medical papers and requires the translator to make full use of available materials and tools in the process of translation to ensure the faithfulness,appropriateness and fluency of the medical paper translation and guarantee the smooth and efficient progress of translation projects.Based on the German Functionalist Translation Theory,this report takes the writer’s authentic translation practice of medical papers as the research object and introduces the translation task,translation process,translation case study as well as the conclusion,trying to have a comprehensive reflect on the translation task and deepen personal translation insights of medical paper,and provide some reference for other medical translators and scholars. |
