In recent years,Hebei Province has always attached great importance to international trade cooperation and actively promoted the construction of a major foreign trade province.Therefore,Hebei province hosted the Hebei-Belgium Business Meeting in Shijiazhuang from April 18thh to 21st,2018,which has attracted foreign businessmen from Belgium,covering textiles,machinery manufacturing,hardware tools,metallurgy and minerals,agricultural products,handicrafts and many other industries.As an interpreter for Annabel Textiles Company,the author is mainly responsible for the English-Chinese interpretation to make a promotion for the trade cooperation between two parties.This article is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the author mainly introduces some information about the client as well as the background,purpose and requirement of the task.In the second chapter,the author elaborates the task preparation period,which includes preparation of background information,parallel text,understanding of Chinese enterprises,and psychological preparation.At the same time,post-interpreting evaluation and emergency response are also put in the chapter two.As the main body of this report,the third chapter introduces the problems encountered in interpreting activities and adopts a solution strategy.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the author focuses on the three problems--“four-character idiom”,redundancy and information loss.The last chapter is the conclusion to this report.In this practice,the author sums up unresolved problems and finds solutions so as to lay a solid foundation on the study and the work in the future.
