The Propagandistic And Educational Function Study Of Contemporary Chinese Propaganda Posters

In the era of images,images have become a crucial way for human beings to express his thoughts.It is more convincing than words when using images to construct and depict a landscape society close to reality.Contemporary Chinese posters are the product of social development and spiritual civilization construction.The development of posters,as a public art,changes with the times and society.The contemporary Chinese posters take the construction of socialist core values guided by the Chinese dream as their content,the artistic essence of Chinese traditional culture and virtue is contained in the posters,which break through the single form feature,and a diversified image style in keeping with the times is presented to the public.In terms of content and form,they could best satisfy the needs of the society and the aesthetics requirements of the public,showing a strong image and sense of the times.While at the same time,the posters are combining with national policies,public opinion information,national culture and other contents with artistic creation concepts,standardizing the audience’s words and deeds in the form of artistic education,leading the audience’s ideas to close to the socialist core values,and more effectively creating a healthy social environment and a sound social atmosphere.This paper,taken the theoretical concepts of communication,fine arts,semiotics and iconography into consideration,mainly focuses on the propaganda and education function of posters.This paper also discusses over the artistic characteristics of contemporary Chinese posters,which mainly focuses on the analysis over the language and graphics connotation of posters,so that its role in social development and the way of embodying the main theme of society is explored.In the first chapter of this paper,the concepts and principles related to posters as well as its propaganda and education functions are being sorted out.In the second chapter,the development sequence of Chinese posters are being classified,with the centralization point on the liberation of new China,the pre-liberation posters with the post-liberation propaganda paintings are compared,focusing on the current Chinese posters to clarify thethematic direction of poster development in this period.In the third chapter of this paper,the corresponding functions of the posters are explained combined with the theme of the posters and the characteristics of the posters are summarized.In the fourth chapter,the current situation of poster development is summarized through the analysis of a questionnaire survey report.And in the fifth chapter,as the last chapter of this paper,the direction of propaganda and education function of posters is explored.
