A Report On The Interpreting Of The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp Hosted By Confucius Institute

This report is based on the interpreting of the Chinese Bridge summer camp hosted by Confucius Institute in 2018.In the report,the author analyzes the interpreting of different activities in this summer camp,including the speech at the opening ceremony,the lecture on Chinese kungfu culture,the tour guide speech at the kungfu culture museum and the introduction to the school history museum.As a practice report on the interpreting of Chinese kungfu,a field full of cultural connotations,this report focuses on the interpreting studies of various aspects of traditional Chinese kungfu,such as kungfu movements,techniques,weapons,etiquette and culture.There are five parts in the report.Part 1 and Part 2 are the introduction to the content,requirements,targets,difficulties and process of the interpreting practice.Part 3 is the analysis of some selected interpreting cases,which is the focus of this report.In this part,the author introduces the methods and skills used in the interpreting,the difficulties encountered in the process,as well as the mistakes made in the interpreting through the analysis of some cases.The last part is the conclusion of the interpreting practice in which the author evaluates the whole practice and sums up the lessons learned from it.This part may serve as a reference and guidance for the future interpreting of traditional Chinese kungfu.
