With the rising of "Chinese fever",Chinese teaching at home and abroad is being carried out vigorously growing.Students’ learning purposes and needs are gradually diversified,and the methods and forms of teaching Chinese are also gradually diversified,which requires continuous innovation.As an emerging short-term Chinese teaching mode,Chinese summer camp is favored by young Chinese lovers for its unique charm of short time,high flexibility and strong interest.Therefore,more and more Confucius institutes are carrying out Chinese summer camp programs in local areas,hoping to stimulate students’curiosity about Chinese culture and interest in learning Chinese through cultural experience.Most of these programs have been carried out for many times and have gained a wide range of influences.Even some Chinese summer camp programs of Confucius Institutes have become "signpost,of Confucius institutes and gained a good reputation.Most of these overseas Confucius Institutes’ Chinese Summer Camps take cultivating students’ interest in learning Chinese as the starting point and Chinese courses and cultural experience as the main teaching content.The time is short and there is no corresponding textbook.The rapid development of overseas Chinese Summer Camps has exposed the problems of high repeatability of Chinese Summer Camp experience projects,independent cultural experience and language teaching,which may lead to the gradual decrease of students’ novelty of overseas Chinese Summer Camp experience projects,the lack of in-depth cultural understanding,and the difficulty of sustainable development of Chinese Summer Camp.This thesis will be based on the author’s teaching practice at the Confucius Institute of the Palacky University in Czech Republic of 2018 Chinese Summer Camp named "Journey to the West",seeks effective teaching strategies and methods for Czech teenagers’ Chinese learners,regarding as the theory and method of thematic teaching,while combines personal experience with relevant learning theories,and through practical reflection and summary,At the same time,it seems that it hopes to enrich the short-term teaching research of overseas Chinese as a foreign language and promote the sustainable development of overseas Chinese Summer Camp proj ect.This thesis will be divided into four chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which mainly represent the reasons for choosing the topic,research purposes,literature review and research methods.Chapter two will analyse the Chinese Summer Camp Project of Confucius Institute of Palacky University in Czech Republic,which will focus on the general situation of the project.the teaching design of previous two Chinese Summer Camps and the experience and problems of the Chinese Summer Camp design.Chapter three Nill be the design and implementation of the Summer Camp,and here are three parts for it:the first part is the theoretical basis;the second part is the specific teaching design,which formulates the corresponding teaching design according to the relevant theories and design steps of the subject-based teaching;the third part is student interviews and questions.Questionnaire analysis,summarize the implementation of teaching.Chapter four will be the analysis and summary of the teaching practice of Czech teenagers’ Chinese Summer Camp.It will be discussed the advantages,shortcomings and improvement suggestions of the teaching design of this Chinese Summer Camp,the design suggestions of Chinese Summer Camp and the problems still need to be solved,hoping to provide some experience for the teaching design of overseas Chinese Summer Camp in the future.
