| Different from most modification-center structure,the structure “NP de VP” is a special structure in Chinese.Its verbal center word,with nominal modifying words,has the different grammatical function from the whole structure,which is nominal,and NP and VP have complex semantic relationships.Besides,the structure “NP de VP” is a more written form,mainly used in science and technology expository texts and newspaper articles.The complexity of this structure makes it one of the difficult points in studying Chinese.The structure “ nominalization + of … ” has both similarity and difference between the structure “NP de VP” in Chinese,also brings Chinese learners whose first language is English some extra difficulties.The writer first combed through the research results of the structure “NP de VP” and its meaning and usage.Then the writer analyzed the similarity and difference between the two structures,and designed a questionnaire on using the structure “NP de VP”.Through collecting and classifying error sentences from the HSK corpus and the questionnaire,the writer found out that Chinese learners are more likely to make errors in: a.whether using the structure “NP de VP” or not;b.the words’ order in the structure “NP de VP”;c.the omitting of words in the structure “NP de VP”.Based on the analysis above,the writer found out the key point and difficult point of studying the structure “NP de VP”: a.the words’ order in the structure “NP de VP”;b.whether using “de” or not;c.how to choose words using in the words’ order in the structure “NP de VP”.Finally,the writer made some recommendations of teaching the structure “NP de VP”. |
