| This research focuses on interpreter’s errors in E-C simultaneous interpreting from the audience point of view.We compare the expectation(whether certain kinds of error are important or not)and identification(whether certain kinds of error are perceived or not)between professional interpreters and audiences,as well as within the audience group.The conclusions are:compared with professional interpreters,audience holds a stricter expectation towards content errors than form errors,but finds it easier to pick formal errors than substantive errors;experience on interpretation service is barely relevant to audience’s expectation on and identification of errors;personal English skills can influence both audience’s expectation and identification on errors. |
