The Semantic Analysis And The Culture Interpretation Of The Idioms Constituted With "Wolf"

Language is the external manifestation of human thinking,and the Chinese language can reflect the social life,love and production of the Chinese people.As an important part of Chinese vocabulary,idioms have deep history and rich cultural connotations,which reflects the wisdom of the Chinese.Wolf is one of the most frequent animals in human life,so wolf plays a very active role in human language,culture and literature.Idioms containing "wolf" occupies a large portion of Chinese animal idioms,and wolf culture has been one of the representative cultures of many ethnic groups.The image of wolf is a frequent visitor in literary works.In this paper,the meaning of "wolf" in standard dictionary is the starting point,and the semantic system of the Chinese character "wolf"is further analyzed.On this basis,we classify the semantic content of the "wolf" constituted idioms,and select a sample of idioms containing "wolf" to further analyze their changes in’emotional color’.Secondly,the metaphorical theory is used to classify the metaphorical types of"wolf".Finally,combined with the literature materials and a specific "wolf"idioms as the object of "wolf" constitutive idioms cultural connotations for the detailed explanation,and summed up the "wolf" constitutive idioms and Chinese ancient totem worship,military culture,national ideology and other aspects of the relationship,from hidden in the "wolf" constitutive idioms in the long history of Chinese culture,broad and profound.
