The Semantic Structure Analysis And The Culture Interpretation Of The Idioms Constituted With "Long"

Idiom, one of Chinese own language form, which contains rich semantic content and Chinese cultural connotation on the basis of its short structure. In this thesis, the four-character idioms on "long" are taken as the research object of this study. The author will do some theoretical analysis, and explain it with examples from four perspectives: semantics, structure, language and culture. Therefore, the author makes a conclusion on the characteristics of the four-character idioms on "long". First, the semantic and symbolic content of the four-character idioms on "long" will be analyzed and summarized; second, the author will summarize the grammatical structure and the function type of syntax of the four-character idioms on "long"; third, the author will analyze the pragmatic functions of the four-character idioms on "long" with some examples, with the perspective of context. Finally, the author will use some examples to explain the cultural meanings of the four-character idioms on "long". In this thesis, the author interprets the four-character idioms on "long", and analyzes the cultural connotation of these four-character idioms.
