A "Home" In The Big World

In the process of the continuous development of Chinese cities,a large number of outsiders,the urban immigrant groups,have been swayed on the ground and underground of the city,trying to place their home in the "big world".The author has sorted out a lot of urban video material and has created the micro movie Big World which based on her own feelings about Shanghai.In the paper,the author summarizes the image construction strategies used in the creation: deliberately presenting the spatial image construction of the “underground of the city”,the spatial image construction of the “central zone”,and the marginal characters in the city.And all of these expression strategies is to show the relationship between the city and man,people's exploration and search for urban space and thinking of their own existence in the city.
