In recent years,due to the rapid development of tourism,red tourism,a special form of cultural tourism,has been developed and promoted as a particular kind of cultural and tourist industry.At the 13 th Session of the National People’s Congress in March 2018 r,it was decided that the Ministry of Culture and the National Tourism Administration would be merged into the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the State Council,which indicates that the development of the tourism industry had been given priority by the government.The merging of culture and tourism brings about opportunities for red tourism.However,although it is a highly publicized form of cultural tourism,its development and promotion are still far from enough.For example,the visual image of the various types of comprehensive red tourist and holiday resorts need to be promoted urgently.Through the study of the cultural history,the red revolutionary culture,geographical environment,the scenic features and so on in Shexian County of Handan City in Hebei Province,where Sushe Red Tourist and Holiday Resort is located,the paper summarizes the advantages of the overall positioning of this red tourist resort’s image,and refines and integrates the cultural symbols to strengthen identity of the visual image of the red tourist resort area through reshaping the visual image if it.With all these effort,the appeal of red culture can be greatly enhanced for the purpose of marketing the visual image.At the same time,both the overseas designs and the designs of domestic red scenic spots were used to analyze the relationship between the red cultural scenic spots and the red tourist resorts,and then the design practice of Sushe Red Tourist and Holiday Resort was carried out.Finally,this papers expounds the necessity of the fusion of the creative cultural ideas and the image of the tourism brand.
